The challenge
F.G. Welch has been the heating and gas firm Wigan engineers rely on since 1985 - forty years of reputation that existed everywhere except online. When homeowners searched for boiler repairs, nothing about their old web presence carried the weight of four decades of word-of-mouth trust.
What we did
- Put the trust on the page. Gas Safe registration, “family-run since 1985”, five-star rating and free no-obligation quotes - visible without scrolling.
- Made booking the obvious action. A “Request a Booking” button in the header and hero, plus a click-to-call number for the people who’d rather ring.
- Showed the brands homeowners recognise. Worcester Bosch, Ideal and the other manufacturer logos that quietly say “proper firm”.
- Covered the emergency searcher. From emergency boiler repairs to full installations - the services structured around what people actually search for at 7am with no heating.
The result
A website that finally matches the reputation: a homeowner lands, sees forty years of family trust and a Gas Safe badge, and books - in a couple of clicks or one phone call.
